Tampa, FL (PRWEB) December 19, 2009 -- XA Worldwide, Inc. offers Self-Service Bill Pay Kiosks, mobile applications and Web destinations for services such as municipal payments, flight booking, and concert ticketing among others.
XA Worldwide showcased, right next to Cintel and Cisco, their new technologies to an engaged crowd at the Andicom 2009. Using a proprietary blackberry POS scanner and other forms of technologies, XA Worldwide introduced a unique kiosk that is positioned to revolutionize payment processing platforms, and their newest form of dispatch technology, TransGuardia.
TransGuardia utilizes a combination of SMS, GIS, GPS, and mobile payment processing technologies to provide important information to passengers and drivers respectively. XA Worldwide is launching a revolutionary dispatch technology that will change the way transportation networks and systems work worldwide, which will be debuting in Colombia in 2010. Last month XA Worldwide named this new technology TransGuardia –a name that symbolizes a new form of secure and efficient payment processing and dispatch servicing. TransGuardia utilizes a combination of SMS, GIS, GPS, and mobile payment processing technologies to provide important information to passengers and drivers respectively.
The first company to adopt this innovative dispatch solution is Tax Belen, a Medellin based taxi company, which has over 200 cabs working under this new technology since March 2009. XA Worldwide is planning to equip an additional 6000 taxis in Medellin, followed by a nationwide technology integration initiative, including major cities such as Bogota, Cali, Baranquilla and Cartagena. Forcasted revenue and economic benefits are estimated between 25-35 million in US dollars. “We are confident in this technology and continue to look for strategic partners and investors in an effort to expand into new markets and industries.” says Jason Donald, XA Worldwide, Inc. Chief Executive Officer.
By integrating the GPS and GIS technologies to a SMS solution, the dispatch centers are able to direct taxi, ambulance, and bus drivers to their destinations in a timely and efficient manner. "Our intent is to replace the analog dispatch system with a digital one. The SMS messages will alert both taxi drivers and passangers with helpful information, including time of arrival. " says Santiago Jaramillo, Tax Belen Administrative Manager.
Last month XA Worldwide attended Andicom 2009, and showcased TransGuardia and its benefits to companies in both communication and technology industries. The progressive nature of the technology itself brought forth a wave of buzz, brand awareness, and press interest throughout the convention.
